Hazel Gillespie

Hazel Gillespie

Hazel leads our team in Glasgow bringing specific expertise in specialist and Senior Appointments and, in the Training and Development areas.

Hazel began her career in recruitment with Office Angels back in 1994, followed by 13 successful years with Search Consultancy progressing to Director level. With experience of recruiting across all levels from graduate to main board level across a broad range of industry sectors and geography, Hazel understands the real challenges within the recruitment world across many different industry sectors.

Back in 2011, after running award winning teams and coaching and developing colleagues and helping them enjoy successful careers of their own, Hazel decided to make a change and run her own business identifying and developing new talent in the industry. Hence, Gillespie People Solutions was born and, she hasn’t looked back!

Outside of work, Hazel is a self-confessed foodie who loves trying new restaurants and traveling to different cities across the world. She also enjoys experimenting in her own kitchen from time to time entertaining friends and, still partying like its 1999 now and again! Hazel’s greatest passion is her family though and loves to spend time with her two boys. As a result, she has now been forced to start enjoying football, golf and judo at the weekends which has proved to be more fun than she thought!

Caron Kinnaird

Caron Kinnaird

Senior Consultant

Caron graduated from Strathclyde University with a BA (Hons) degree in Psychology. During her time there, she combined her studies with a recruitment-based social media internship which gave her an in-depth understanding of the value of digital media channels for a wide variety of recruitment markets.

From there, it seemed a natural progression to work in recruitment full-time and now, after her first two exciting and successful years at Gillespie People Solutions, she continues to develop her market knowledge and is responsible for sourcing only the strongest candidates from the ranks of recruitment professionals throughout Scotland. Working on vacancies from trainee to management level, Caron has a wealth of experience and adds value at every stage of the recruitment journey; from salary benchmarking, market insights, research and sourcing to, of course, headhunting the very best and most talented “hard to source” candidates.

Away from the office, Caron is, she says, “a gifted shopper who enjoys eating good food, visiting exciting countries and, most importantly, looking after our office dog, Spencer!”
