Job Description

A global, brand name travel business is appointing a senior level Talent Acquisition Professional to be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh, looking after technical recruitment and acting as a lead talent professional in the team.
As an individual contributor, the key responsibilities in this post will be to act as a hands-on recruiter in the business and provide a mentoring and guiding support to others in the team. You will be an established technical recruiter; have a strategic mindset; advanced stakeholder engagement and influencing skills; treat candidate care and communication with the highest attention to detail and take accountability for your daily actions.
The successful incumbent will have respect for the benefits of data in the recruitment experience and be knowledgeable in how to apply these to improve performance, both personally and across a team. With access to the best internal and sourcing systems possible, you will have access to all the data required however you need to know how to read and act on it. You may have experience in both Agency and inhouse Talent positions previously to join with the correct balance of skills.
A true end-to-end Talent role, you will source applicants and retain relationships with them right through to hire stage; allowing a strong relationship to build and help with offer management. Each team member is allocated a really fair level of work to allow this candidate care focus and in turn, you will hopefully continue to build the company’s reputation in the tech market as an employer of choice. The pace is fast in this business, and you will be able to demonstrate your ability to match that efficiency with no sacrifice to candidate care.
You are supported by a knowledgeable and highly experienced Senior Leadership Team within Talent; advanced technology; access to candidate search sites and continued professional development. Performance is measured by several routes, but candidate satisfaction and the provision of outstanding internal and external care and support is a main pillar of what success looks like in this business!
The benefits offered by this organisation are second to none; with the chance to work up to 30 days per year from different locations; and 20 of those across any country they have an office – in the world! Allowing you to spend even more time travelling, exploring & sightseeing. In addition, they provide an expansive suite of benefits you can select to suit your life; flexibility in your working life; hybrid working with a primarily home base; and a really family friendly culture. Share options and a cohort of relevant and practical benefits are attached to this role, and a relocation package can also be offered for a true match to the experience required.
Empathy, respect, accountability and trust are just some of the core values this business live. These are qualities, amongst others, they will look for in the successful appointment and what they promise as a business in return. You should be able to provide strong examples of where you have demonstrated these and how you would carry them through to your new appointment.
This is a unique role in the Scottish market, to join an established team across 2 key cities, Glasgow & Edinburgh, particularly considering the opportunities for hybrid, flexibility, home-working and part-time options.
