Salary: circa £18k - £20k Basic + Commission

As a graduate recruitment consultant, you will receive industry leading on the job and classroom training in a fun and collaborative team-focused working environment, the opportunity to build relationships with candidates and clients and attend exciting networking events, clear progression opportunities and rewards such as bonuses, holiday targets and most importantly huge earning potential.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate and it is essential that you have previous experience in sales, as the ability to win and develop new business is vital. Sales experience can be in the form of call centre, business to business, business to consumer or from working as a brand ambassador. In addition, the role is suited to a proactive individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is capable of managing their own portfolio of clients and candidates at all levels. Competitiveness is a key trait of a successful recruiter so being part of some kind of competitive sports team will present transferable skills for this role.

The role:

• Identifying companies to develop long lasting working partnerships.
• The entire recruitment process; from sifting through CVs and applications, to headhunting and interviewing suitable candidates, selling candidates into clients, negotiating and closing deals with clients.
• Generating candidate and client leads to build up your database of contacts and developing and maintaining these relationships through both telephone communication and face to face meetings.
• Drafting job adverts for client vacancies and posting these adverts on relevant websites and social media platforms to attract the top talent for clients.
• Keeping up to date with market trends, analysing competitors and identifying potential new business.
• Sourcing and meeting new candidates through methods such as networking and headhunting.
• Ensuring a high level of service to both clients and candidates whilst working towards and hitting several activity and financial targets.

  Ideal Candidate

  Skills and personal qualities that our client is looking for in its Trainees include:

• Proven track record in a B2B or B2C sales environment.
• Strong educational background – university degree required.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build relationships with candidates and clients over the phone and face-to-face.
• Ambitious, target driven and financially motivated.
• Motivated nature with a hunger to progress your career and constantly build on your skillset.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced, diverse workload.
• Willingness to go the extra mile for yourself, your business and your candidates and Clients.
